World-class textiles don’t have to harm the planet. At TextileMania, we're committed to doing things in a better way, and whether that’s through sourcing or design, development or distribution, we’re always looking for ways to lessen our impact on the environment. Below we have highlighted the 4 cornerstones of our approach help to lighten our footprint.
We are taking our commitment to being carbon neutral seriously. In fact, we’re taking it so seriously we have committed to a zero emissions deadline of December 2030. We are already using renewable energy at our HQ and have incorporated carbon offsets into our business plan.
As we want to meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, we have made the significant commitment to becoming a B-Corp. We want to ensure our products and processes meet the highest standards. We firmly believe in transparency, accountability and want to balance profit with purpose. We will officially move from pending status to a fully-fledged B-Corp in 2022.
As a pilot member of the Health Product Declaration Collaborative, we have are happy to share the ingredients of our products to ensure our clients can make the right decision about the textiles they want to choose to use in their interior projects. The HPDC movement relies on the transparency of it’s members.
We have our products independently tested to ensure they have the lowest VOC emissions possible, which basically means they’re not emitting any nasty chemicals into the air we breathe. We are proud to say that we have achieved SCS Indoor Advantage Gold standard which aligns with ANSI/BIFMA M7.1 and CA 01350 and qualifies for building ratings such as LEED v4, BREEAM, WELL Building and the Living Building Challenge (LBC).
