Our Story

Founded in Australia in 1981, we’ve supplied the built environment with premium textiles and fabrics for more than 30 years. Quickly establishing ourselves as a leader in Australian corporate fabric supplies, overseas markets beckoned – and exports to New Zealand and the US soon followed. Orders from major tech firms then saw TextileMania enter Silicon Valley, with many more tech giants soon looking to outfit their offices with our fabrics. Today, we’re still growing – Having recently relocated to the UK, we are expanding to new markets and working to establish TextileMania as the leading supplier of high quality, low environmental impact textiles to companies around the world.

Design

We take our inspirational cues from everything we see and experience including nature, travel, architecture, graphic design, typography and art. We use texture to create depth and interest, pattern and geometry for visual impact and a Scandinavian inspired colour palette form the basis of our contemporary fabric collection.

B-Corp

We firmly believe in doing the right thing. We want TextileMania to meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, accountability and to balance profit with purpose. We feel that the B-Corp movement has the power to use business as a force for good and have adopted the B-Corp methodology in every decision we make.  B Corp is particularly unique in our industry.

BIG ON QUALITY. EASY ON THE PLANET.

World-class textiles don’t have to harm the planet. At TextileMania, we’re committed to doing things in a better way, and whether that’s through sourcing or design, development or distribution, we’re always looking for ways to lessen our impact on the environment. Here’s a look at some of the things we’re working on to lighten our footprint.
Fabric

NET ZERO TARGET.

We’re aiming to be completely carbon neutral by the end of 2030, meaning our carbon dioxide emissions will be at net zero. Through reducing our carbon footprint by using renewable electricity at our HQ, and incorporating carbon offsets into our business plan, we’re well on our way to reaching this target.

Fabric

TAKE BACK SERVICE.

While they might seem wasteful, fabric samples and shade cards are a necessary part of our business, and are a crucial part of picking the perfect textiles for your project. To help reduce the likelihood of them ending up in landfill waste sites, we ask all recipients of our samples to consider sending them back to us for recycling. Once you’re finished with the fabric, we’ll send a pre-paid shipping label so you can post it back to us for disposal or reuse.

Fabric

RESPONSIBLE PACKAGING.

We source all our packaging from recyclable polythene suppliers, and we ensure everything is biodegradable in landfill. We also use kraft paper tape, which is recyclable and biodegradable, too.

Fabric

CLEAN AIR CERTIFIED.

On average, we spend about 90% of our time indoors, but there’s rarely much thought given to the quality of air we breathe. That’s why we ensure all our products are SCS Indoor Advantage certified, giving you confidence that our range is free from dangerous chemicals or VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
